Welcome to the Atlanta Chapter's Website. Harley-Davidson of Atlanta established the Atlanta Chapter on September 16, 1985. We are the oldest H.O.G. Chapter in Georgia. All of the officers hope you will take a look around and enjoy your stop here. Be sure to check out the Calendar. We try to keep a good variety of rides and events to fit into everyone's schedules. If you are a local or just passing through town and have any questions feel free to contact any of the Officers. If you are interested in joining the chapter, we have membership applications available here on the site. We are here to "Ride and Have Fun" and hope you will come out and join us soon. RAFFLE, RAFFLE, RAFFLE
In case you haven’t noticed the 2012 Harley-Davidson’s are on the showroom floor, however there’s something a little different there as well. It’s a beautiful bright red vehicle with four wheels touching the floor not two. Okay, I won’t keep you in suspense, as the grass cutting season is starting to wind down and you’re tired of either doing it with a push mower or your rider is getting harder to start; GUESS WHAT?! The Atlanta H.O.G. Chapter is raffling off a Toro Bronco, 42”, 17.5 horsepower lawn tractor. It’s a beauty. We will be raffling it off on November 12 at the dealership (you don’t have to be present too win). There will only be 300 tickets sold so there’s a one in 300 chances per ticket sold. They are on sale at the dealership for $10 each. The proceeds will go to the chapter to offset the cost of our Holiday Social. So please see either Rene’ at the front desk or Rene’ Durham at her desk to purchase a ticket. Furthermore, please take a pack of 10 tickets and sell them to your family and co-workers to help the chapter out.
Thanks for all you do,
Bobby Conway
Director, Atlanta Chapter
Year’s End is in Sight
It seems like we just ushered in the New Year, and now it’s already November. October brought us some great weather but also some sorrow. We lost a friend and chapter member, Allan Owens on October 2. Diana Bodden, our Head Road Captain, and Mark Godfrey were involved in an accident on October 8 on the Apple Festival Ride. As we prepare to enter the Holiday Season let’s keep Allan’s wife Debbie, Diana and Mark in our prayers. There will be some great things going on in November, so check the HOGWASH calendar. Wishing everyone a joyous and Happy Thanksgiving.
FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
BIKER FRIENDS: Cry with you.

Attendance Jackpot
Congratulations to Jim Durham whose name was drawn for the October Attendance Jackpot. Unfortunately, Jim was not at the meeting to claim the $130. We will add $10 to the Jackpot for the next chapter meeting, $140. Remember you must be at the meeting and a member in "Good Standing," a current member of national H.O.G. and Atlanta Chapter. If the member whose name is drawn is not at the meeting, we will add $10 and try again next meeting. Please have your National H.O.G. card with you at the meeting. Hope to see everyone there.
Calling All Chili Cookers
Bring your “Best Chili” to see who will win “Best Chili Cooker.” To enter is free, just bring your Chili. The condiments, bowls, spoons and napkins will be provided. The “Best Chili Cooker” will win a $100 Gift Card from Harley-Davidson of Atlanta.
Call René Durham to enter.
Please ride safe and responsible,
René Durham

Summer has come to an end, and autumn has begun. Which means Movie Night has come to an end as well but not without the memories of the time and fun spent with chapter members. 'Thanks to all of you who participated in making Movie Night successful'. I especially would like to give a BIG 'Thanks' to our Assistant Director Mark Redmon who has been there for each movie night to set up the equipment and watch the movie. ‘Thank You Mark’, you made it all happen!
At this November’s chapter meeting, we will be passing out a question air sheet, asking members to vote. This will assist us in identifying and recognizing rides and members to be acknowledged at our Christmas Social. The question air sheet will have a list to select from.
Don't forget December 10 is our chapters’ Christmas Social. The social will be held at the FOP Lodge in Austell, from 7:00 - 11:00 p.m. Come and enjoy the music by DJ Alex and holiday buffet served by Jim 'N Nick’s. We will also have a ‘Dessert Contest’, so be sure to make your delicious delectable’s for our judges to sample. You may bring as many desserts as you like however you can only have one entry per family in the contest, so be sure to pick your favorite one to enter in the contest.
To be sure, everyone has the information needed, this is where the Social will be held and directions:
FOP Lodge
2350 Austell Road, Marietta, GA 30008
Coming North on Austell Road (going toward South Cobb). On Austell Road, turn left at Windy Hill (Milford elementary school will be on the left corner), get in the Right Lane and turn Right at the first street called Jean Place. At the next street called Wanda Circle turn right, at the very next street (no street sign), turn right and the FOP Lodge will be the first driveway on your left.
Coming south on Austell Road (going toward County Services Pkwy.). After you pass County Services Pkwy. look for Wanda Circle (just past a gas station), turn right onto Wanda Circle, then turn right into the first driveway of the FOP Lodge. *Note - If you get to Windy Hill you have gone too far and should turn right at Windy Hill and follow the directions above for going North.

1st Annual Charlie Myers to the Okefenokee Swamp – November 11
As you may or may not know at the 2010 Georgia State Rally on Jekyll Island there was a planned guided ride to The Okefenokee Swamp. My good friend Charlie Myers got up that morning, got his camera ready, got the bike fueled up and was ready to see some gators. They mounted up rode more than two hours, sat down for lunch and waited for their food almost two hours. Only to find out that because of the lost time the road captain made the decision that they were not going to the swamp. Needless to say Charlie was more than disappointed. So the decision was made that Charlie had suffered that disappointment long enough. So join Charlie and me at the pavilion on Saturday, November 12 at the HDA pavilion at 8:00 A.M. for an approximate five hour ride down to The Okefenokee swamp. I have five rooms blocked down at The Best Western in Waycross because this will be an overnight ride. They are holding a $69.99 rate plus taxes you just need to call 912-284-0095 and mention you are with “Atlanta H.O.G.” for that rate. As you know we always have a good time on our over nights and on this one you might even get to see a gator. When we get to the swamp park there’s an approximate $20 charge for taking the boat and train tour of the swamp. We will get there at approximately 1:30 P.M. and they close at 5:30 P.M. On Sunday morning, we can get up and take a leisurely ride back through our great state on the back roads headed back home. So come out and join us.
Bobby Conway, Road Captain
